Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

In the next episode of the Top 100 video games of all time, I am reaching back a few decades for an old Disney licensed classic. Back then, a licensed game could mean a throwaway disposable title... unless the Capcom name was attached to it. Capcom had a legendary run of licensed Disney titles during the NES era and even running into the SNES era. Their games almost always hit, and one of their earliest games in this run was Duck Tales, based on the popular cartoon show of the time. This was a title that set the expectations and quality levels that gamers could expect: a game that respected the source material but took chances with its concept and somehow successfully married interesting and experimental design with a known property, and the result was a legendary game whose influence can still be felt to this day. Tune in to hear why this game is still so revered today and why you should get out there to find a chance to play it.
