Pining for Pixels # 140 - New Years 2026 Special! A Look Back at 2025, Predictions & Resolutions, and Preliminary Game Awards for 2025
Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
With the new year I want to revisit my predictions and resolutions I made at the beginning of 2025 to see how successful I was with the resolutions and how accurate my predictions were! I can say that the resolutions maybe need more work, but I was surprised about how many of my predictions were correct. It has been a year of ups and downs in 2025, so it is always nice to take some time and reflect on all of it, and also to hand out some awards and recognize some of the best titles from 2025. Tune in to hear what games are recognized in various categories, but tune in next week for the overall game of the year, which always gets its own dedicated episode.
