Pining for Pixels # 123 - Evercade Expeditions: Roguecraft Dx
Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
It is time for another Evercade Expeditions episode! I couldn't resist doing one for the new Roguecraft Dx cartridge that just released. There cool thing is that this version of the game is exclusive to Evercade (for now). This title also has some history on the platform as its predecessor (Rogue64) is an unlockable hidden game on the Evercade Vs and EXP platforms. This game is a roguelike and it is a very good one. I recall first seeing the trailer for this title at an Evercade showcase event and being very enticed by its pixel art graphics and the way it looked in motion. I am happy to say that this game more than met my expectations based on that trailer, it even surpassed them! Tune in to hear why I think this cart alone would be worth the price of the Evercade hardware!
