Saving Throes # 118 - Report Card: Gen Con 2025
Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
I can't believe Gen Con has already come and gone for another year! I think I say that every year. Gen Con arrives and you have 4 days of gaming in front of you, and in a flurry of activity, it feels like it is over in a mere flash. This year was certainly a big year again, I got to try a few new games that have previously eluded me, there was another 50 year milestone in the TTRPG industry to celebrate, and of course lots of announcements. Tune in to hear what the most memorable moments of Gen Con 2025 were for me, and what one surprising event was unexpectedly quite a let down.
