Pining for Pixels # 103 - Evercade Expeditions: Tomb Raider Collection 2
Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
I received my copy of the Tomb Raider Collection 2 for the Evercade early, so I decided to do a followup episode to one of my favourite carts for the platform. Once again, this is an impressive feat, stuffing huge PlayStation 1 games into a single Evercade cart. This time though, there is only 2 titles vs the prior entry having 3. It is understandable though, as the Tomb Raider title missing from this version of the collection is a PlayStation 2 game that wouldn't run here anyway, and the narrative of that game is a bit on it's own on top of that. I evaluate this cart on its own merits and how it stacks up to the other Evercade carts. Tune to hear how well this second collection of classic era Tomb Raider games does compared to its stellar predecessor.
