Saving Throes # 102 - The Top 5 Best & Worst Rules Updates in D&D 5e Revised
Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
Now that some more time has passed, and I have had more time to think about the new D&D 5e Revised rules, I came up with my top 5 favourite and least favourite changes. Since 2014 and 2024/2025 rulesets are compatible, I wanted to not only list out the 5 best and worst, but also to discuss how one might go ahead and incorporate the best into their own game, and also the best way to excise the unwanted updates. Keeping in my mind that this is just all my opinion, I think I came up with a pretty good list. Tune in to hear what rules I think make the grade, and what ones I intend to leave behind.
