Pining for Pixels # 82 - Special: The Game Awards Predictions

Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

Since The Game Awards announced their nominees for 2024 everyone has had a reaction and as usual there is a bit of blowback about some of the choices and potential snubs. I originally rushed through these announcements in last week's news segment, but since then, I have thought longer about the nominees and thought it would be fun to do a more thorough discussion about the nominations. In this episode I give you my predictions for who will win in most of these categories, as well as which ones I would prefer to win (at least based solely on the nominees that they picked). To be clear, I do not go through every category with predictions as there are some that I don't know enough about or just plain don't care about. Tune in to hear my guesses and picks and we can reconvene after the award show to see how much I got right and how much I missed.
