Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
As Valentine's Day is this week, I wanted to do a look at the best kind of video games you can play on this day all about love. There are plenty of games that feature love as a theme, but most often it is just a small part or supplemental part of a game. I wanted to look at games that really focus on love, whether that be through the narrative theme of the game or in the mechanics of the game, I wanted to talk about games that really emphasize love or being with your significant other. There was a lot to consider here, so I decided to approach it a little differently - instead of focussing on only singular titles, I looked at sub genres and styles of games. Most of the entries on my list are groups of games that share something in common. In fact only 1 entry on this list is just a singular game. Tune in to hear some suggestions for what games you can play for Valentine's Day.
